Managed Server

When a health services company’s file system failed, it could not be booted or rescued by normal means. The affected server contained all of the company’s files, their SQL database, and email and user accounts. Virus Management

A client called with concerns about an odd icon on his task bar. When NCDTech investigated, we found that the icon was associated with a virus which attached itself to both the documents folder and system32 folders on the laptop. The virus denied user access to all files it was attached to and ultimately completely corrupted the file system as well as the NTFS permissions, making it impossible to access any data. However, in less than one day’s downtime, we were able to restore the data and repair the laptop to original working order.
